June 2014 - The Rack People™ Support Major NHS Network Refresh Project

Following a successful tender bid, The Rack People™ have provided innovative cooling solutions to 28 locations in Medway Maritime Hospital. These solutions were achieved without major building works and provided cooling, soundproofing, economy of space, security and resilliance.

March 2014 - The Rack People™ Join the Carbon Trust at Ecobuild

On March 6th we were invited to join the Carbon Trust at their Stand at Ecobuild 2014.

Ecobuild is the world's largest green building event, providing a forum to see a vast spectrum of sustainable products for new/refurbishment build projects.

The Carbon Trust were keen to promote energy saving technologies at Ecobuild and we were delighted to partner with them and showcase our cooling racks.

Jonny Marris, our Technical Manager said, "Being part of the Carbon Trust stand at Ecobuild was a great opportunity to discuss greener ways to deploy IT and explain how you really can switch off your server room air-conditioning and save thousands of pounds."

May 2013 - Launch of The Rack People™

The Rack People™ are delighted to announce their new name, brand and website, which more fully express their expertise and increased capability in the rackmount solutions industry.

The Rack People™ is the new name for Acousti Products Ltd, who have long been associated with reducing unwanted IT noise with soundproof racks.

Bob Alexander, CEO of The Rack People states, "This rebranding exercise brings our profile into alignment with the true skill set of our business. We are still the quiet rack experts, but that doesn't tell the whole story. We have become much more than that."
